What Makes Training Work (continued)
It is important to gain the enthusiasm of the participants before the training, because without self-motivation people cannot and will not change. After the workshop it is crucial that the skills are reinforced and feedback is regularly given.
That is why at PivotPlus we highlight the importance of gaining buy-in from management before the workshop, and engaging in ongoing coaching. One of our key strategies is to move the day-to-day coaching role to managers within our client's organisation. We give managers the skills to coach their teams in emotional competence. The manager's role should never be underestimated. They are the most influential force within their team and ultimately will be the determining factor in the improvement of workplace performance.
